VC inspects the work progress of the 105TH Indian Science Congress

Imphal, March 11: Professor Adya Prasad Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University along with a team of Deans, local organising secretaries, officials and other concerned staff of the university inspected the massive undertakings which include construction of Inaugural Pandal, Pride Of India (POI) Expo site, Science Exhibition sites, Helipad, Food Courts, etc. for the upcoming 105th Indian Science Congress  inside the Manipur University premises.  
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will inaugurate this five-day long event on 16th March. It may may be noted that Manipur University is hosting such a mega event  for the first time ever in its history. The theme of this year’s congress is “Reaching the Unreached Through Science and Technology.”  Three Nobel Laureates , many renowned scientists, eminent scholars, delegates and speakers will participate in this prestigious scientific event of the country.
After observing the undergoing work sites , the Vice-Chancellor expressed his satisfaction on the pace of work which are being carried out. He said that all preparations are going on in full swing and would be able to finish well in time. Earlier, team of University Grant Commission (UGC) along with Vice-Chancellor and other competent agencies along had reviewed the work sites also.
