Thoubal, Jan. 2: An organization called MAICHON of Charangpat in Thoubal district celebrated 5th Foundation day at Charangpat Polo ground today.
MAICHON is the abbreviation of Manipur Imagi Changdamningai Oiba Nachasing which literary means dedicated children of mother Manipur, was established to help and develop villages in and around Charangpat area.
MLA K. Meghachandra Singh, Zilla Parishad member of Charangpat GP P. Heramani, Thoubal SDO Dr. M. Veto and Pradhan of the area attended as dignitaries on the occasion.
On the occasion 169 aged people were presented gifts as a token of love and respect besides presenting gifts to 26 aged people taking shelter at Old Age Home IRDEO.
