Imphal, Dec 22: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh who is also the leader of the house today said that a new generator for the Bir Tikendrajit Bhavan at Chanakyapuri New Delhi will be procured soon. This was stated in reply to a calling attention motion raised by Congress MLA Joykishan.
Joykishan said that when houses of other states have generator for power back Manipur house at Chanakyapuri did not have a generator as it did not work since 2001.
Joykishan also drew the attention of the house about the use of a child labour in the canteen of the Bir Tikendrajit Bhavan.
Biren Singh while replying the call Attention motion said that he had received the information of the power break up for around 3 hours when the CSO members were staying at the Bhavan. He said that a new generator will be procured soon and the government had even decided for renovation of the Bir Tikendrajit Bhavan in consultation with the works Minister however as PDA New Delhi has not given clearance it can’t be started at the moment. Regarding Child labour the CM Assured to look after it.
