More issues will arises as real game kick-starts

Former MP, now president of the Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress has rightly pointed out yesterday about major political parties indulging in blame game without bothering the fate of the future of this state. She was right when she said that the need of the hour is to collectively find out the contents of the ‘Framework Agreement’ signed between the NSCN-IM and Government of India irrespective of which political party he or she belongs to. Union Home Minister Rajnath tricky answer during editors’ meet at Chandigarh recently at which he said that ‘the framework work’ agreement is nearing to final stage should be of top priority for every Manipuri and should be deal beyond politics.
Surprisingly the matter seem not concern to both Congress and the BJP which is considered as the main challengers in the upcoming 2017 Manipur Election. These two parties are now engaging in tough horse trading game to get maximum MLAs in the 11th Manipur legislative Assembly.
Seen today is the accusations and counter accusations between the two parties or in other word peoples’ mind are now diverting with petty politics of blame games.
While numerous plausible sounding reasons and meticulously prepared arguments for matters not related to the common interest of the state of Manipur, will be forthcoming from the Government very shortly, the irony of the situation will not be lost on the concerned public in the State.
Taking a slight diversion from the issue put up by Kim Gangte, again it will be excuses of constraint of funds and lack of financial resources has been cited for every failure to take up development works which are sorely needed in the State, and inspite of the tall claims of numerous changes and development that has been initiated since the country attained independence, the feeling of things getting done too little and too late in the collective minds of the public cannot be wished away.
The present Government, perhaps getting too caught up in the power game, has deviated from their promised duty and is instead engrossing itself in mud-slinging and belittling other parties at the cost of developmental works.
Or is it a case of deliberate amnesia of the collective heads of the State, a ploy to make fortunes for themselves and their coterie while the State is in a perennial state of turmoil, with the distractions and diversions to confuse and confound the public?
The professed efforts to bring progress and stability in the State has so far resulted in further agitations and unrest, with locals residents near every Designated Camps where the cadres of different proscribed outfits who are in peace negotiations with the State and central Government are being housed, up in arms demanding the shifting of these camps alleging escalation of various crimes committed by the cadres from these camps.
The various infrastructures being developed throughout the State does not fare better, with almost all of these structures and constructions being of sub-standard quality, both in terms of materials and workmanship. There is also the niggling problem of rampant corruption and discrepancies in the selection of police personnel which is likely to keep taunting the State Government in the most inappropriate moments, and a cause for concern and caution for the public who, instead of laying their trust on these security personnel, have come to view them as an unfortunate yet unavoidable fact of life.  It is now up to those who strode the hallowed corridors of power to come to terms with reality rather than to cocoon themselves with concocted lies and trumpeted fakes. We need a humane touch to heal the social ills, and the Government should do well to come out with its shortcomings rather than to put up a staunch denial of the truth. The people demands change. The people deserve the best, not the stress.
